Creek Adventures

We found the greatest little creek. It is perfect for exploring because of the shallow water. The kids have so much fun catching minnows, building dams, seeing who can make the biggest splash and of course throwing rocks. They never tire of throwing rocks in the water.
Something magical happens when you plop a kid in nature. They are so at ease. They get so absorbed it in what they are doing whether it's searching for shells or even just sitting with their feet in the water. They are so in the moment.
Oh, if only every day could be spent this way. (the world would surely be a better place)

Your post made me think of a little water hole my husband and I found when we lived in Fort Collins, CO. It was my happy place and I can't wait to find a place like it with my son when he's a little older. Thanks for the images!

I'm fortunate to have a creek right at the end of my street. This kidlings and I never tire of exporing it's banks.
